Scotweb’s MD, Dr Nicholas J Fiddes, has written a free illustrated e-book, as a gift to help kilt lovers everywhere. In simple non-technical language it covers every aspect of buying a kilt, choosing your tartan, and accessorising an outfit for every occasion.
As a Governor of the Scottish Tartans Authority, and founder of the world’s first company to market kilts on the Internet (yes, Scotweb) no one is better qualified to offer such advice. Impartial and objective, this is a personal work and is not a Scotweb publication.
I ordered a Tartan Serape in the Armstrong Old Colours. It is absolutely gorgeous. It has the most beautiful greens, blues and reds. Perfect for me, since I have auburn hair. I have now ordered four Serapes and I still have a few more to order with my strong Scottish background. Perfect for the winter climate in North Carolina/USA too! I am very pleased with all my purchases from this company! Patricia Wiencken/USA.

I ordered a Tartan Stolen,Boyd Modern, for my sister for Christmas. It was absolutely gorgeous. I just ordered another one for myself! I had to borrow hers today and try it own. The blue and black colors are so pretty with the snow white thread woven in the plaid. The fabric is so soft and it is perfectly made. I love the fringe. It is so comfortable to wear. Perfect for our weather in North Carolina, USA. As I stood in line at the post office as man paid me three compliments on my stolen and asked me where I purchased it. It was so much fun to telling him I had bought from Scotland. I love looking pretty and getting compliments from men! Patricia Wiencken, USA.
